Lotta is a Swedish/British photographic artist and mother of three. After a career in international development and sustainability, she rediscovered an early love of photography and the visual form. Her work is focussed on the mother-child relationship as the heart of the human experience. After a childhood in Sweden and nearly two decades working and studying in the UK, she moved her young family to Mauritius in 2025.

Alongside private work with families, she has an interest in broader themes spanning all aspects of parenthood today, from attachment to nurturing compassionate kids in today’s divisive world, balancing nature and our increasingly digital world, and supporting the brands that make a more slow, sustainable and ethical life possible.

Lotta blends documentary and portrait traditions in a clean and minimalist style, often weaving in elements of nature. She is open for commissions internationally, with focus on Africa and Europe.
