A photographic artist with roots in Scandinavia and the UK, currently exploring the expanse of the Indian Ocean with a base in Mauritius.

I photograph mothers and children, in an attempt to hold on to, and protect, the most sacred space that humanity can inhabit. In a world that has in many ways gone astray, driven by values many of us don’t share, making space for caregiving - that which is a homecoming to our most natural, human instincts - feels essential. Caregiving isn’t, and never has been, an activity of lesser value or power. It should never be hidden away, confined to the home, and the voice of the mother (or mother-photographer) should never be silenced. At the same time, in reference to the present day’s challenges with using images of children online, I operate using a principle of maximal care - that everything we can do to protect children, we must and will do.

I offer private sessions for families, and simultaneously work on private projects in collaboration with art institutions in the region. My interests span all aspects of motherhood, womanhood and childhood today. You can contact me here, or book a session here.
